Artist and educator Peter Forde is charged up and ready to teach students how to see and create art in their daily life. In the course, the students will start by creating special effects for movie posters and then design their own brand identity. Previous students have designed brands and logos for companies they hope to make in the future, engaging a part of their future dreams in the present. The course also offers illustrations and animations for film or video games. It is going to be lots of fun! On the journey, students will pick up skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D design software – skills they can bring with them pretty much anywhere in the world. Vancouver is a booming creative hub, and graphic designers are in great demand. This course can prepare students for the skills to work in the creative industry or express themselves in their chosen digital medium.
