Since 2010, BrainBoost educators have supported students as they work through an online Math course in 5 weeks and earn high school credit through an online school. Students report this being an incredibly fun and confidence-building educational experience. In these focused weeks, students work through the online course material in a small group class format. We offer specialized learning supports catered to each student’s unique learning style, and support preparing for and completing assignments and tests.  Students receive guidance to build underlying skills and conceptual understanding that will support them throughout any future math learning.

Math 11 with Carolyn

This course is your gateway to engineering, the sciences, and business. In Pre-Calculus 11 students often discover their passion for math. This course focuses on how functions can be solved, graphed or manipulated. We explore these concepts through videos, presentations, discussion and good ol’ fashioned hard work. Don’t be afraid! Join the many students who’ve used our Math 11 course to gain the mathematical courage and understanding to help them study in their chosen discipline.

Math 12 with Javad

Pre-Calculus 12 is an essential course preparing students for future endeavors in math and science, serving as a prerequisite for most university programs in these fields.

The curriculum expands on core topics like polynomials, rationals, and trigonometry while introducing advanced functions such as logarithmic and exponential functions.

Through problem-solving and pattern recognition, students enhance critical thinking skills and master mathematical modeling across diverse contexts. Encouraging creativity and curiosity, this course deepens understanding of mathematical concepts.

The minute I walked in my first class that morning, Michaela [my teacher], was like sunshine – she just hit! I came into Summer Math thinking, ” I’ll pass this by 52%”. I got my first test done, and I was like WHOA! “Anything above 73%, and I’m good”, and I ended up getting a class average of 84%, which I could’ve never imagined! …. It was a lot of work, but it was fun too, because Michaela and Yeasir are great teachers.

I chose to do math at BrainBoost because I wanted to get it done and over with. The class was great, as everyone helped each other, and it was a supportive environment. We all became friends, and I was most surprised by the commitment from everyone in the class. At BrainBoost, they have awesome teachers who can teach you one-on-one a lot because the classes are small. My favourite part was meeting people like me determined to do math.
