Theater Troupe
Theater Troupe creates a space where students can express their ideas, explore emotions, and build interpersonal skills and friendships through the performance of short plays. We will learn different acting and directing techniques, taking turns in leadership positions; developing respect for each other’s ideas and perspectives. Theater provides a unique opportunity to combine intellectual and emotional learning, discovering how to express different emotions with our bodies and facial expressions, and how our vocal tone and volume can change the meaning of what we say. The class begins with a 30 minute warm up with lots of physical movement and a snack to transition our actors into the theater space.
