Socials 10

This course will explore the history and modern politics of Canada and the World since 1914. How the growth of Canada, with its ever forming identity and the current structure of its government has been developed internally and by the world around it. Students will learn about documents such as The Indian Act and how colonialism impacted, and continues to impact, the First Peoples of this land. After understanding the basics of Canada’s past and present, the course will travel around the globe and learn about World War II and the Cold War. Students will explore how these seemingly far off events from the past continue to impact contemporary life.

This exciting course will enable students to gain credits towards Socials 10.
