How do you capture a moment on film? Learn how to play with lights and shadows, how to frame and compose, and how to tell a story with images. In this class you will see, think and take risks while finding your own creative voice. Experienced photographer Nolan will show you analogue and digital tools, and take you into the dark room, ?where your photos come alive!

Your Teacher – Nolan Sage

Born and raised in the Lower Mainland, Nolan is a BC certified teacher, holding a degree in Psychology & Linguistics, as well as Education. At BrainBoost, Nolan tutors a variety of subjects from the elementary to secondary level, with a focus on math, biology and chemistry. Nolan teaches in a way that gives students the power to create their own learning moments and strives to foster confidence and critical thinking within a safe environment. When not tutoring, Nolan is often found with one or more cameras in hand, creating distinct portraits or filming comedy sketches. Nolan?s interests also include music (guitar, bass, ukulele), long-form improv, painting, printmaking and tacos.

To be eligible for credit for this class, students must be enrolled in an accredited distance learning program.
Students may withdraw up to 14 days after the start of the pod and receive a full refund for the class minus the cancellation fee of $100. After that time, the fees are non-refundable.?
