This class will empower students to explore their body and mind connection in a reflective way. Students will learn the basics of brain science, as they explore growth mindset, self-regulation, and the ‘control system’ of the mind. Through an understanding of diversity and inclusivity, they will develop a sense of what makes each of our life experiences unique, and how to navigate personal life choices. Physical activities will be offered that contribute to an understanding of body mechanics, physical health, and the relationship of body and mind. The basics of organization, time management, goal-setting, and skill acquisition will be taught in a way that is engaging and personalized. This course will enable students to gain credit for parts of Career and Life Education 10B and PE 11.
