Kerstin Stuerzbecher

Kerstin is responsible for Human Resources and works to support the incredible staff at Brainboost to the best of her ability. She first studied nursing, and then went on to read philosophy and psychology. Upon completion of her degrees, she worked for twenty years in non-profit management in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver where she was fortunate enough to meet and walk beside remarkable individuals who taught her much about dignity, courage, and the meaning of care. Those experiences had a lasting impact on how she approaches humanity and inform her present PhD research at S.F.U.’s Graduate Liberal Studies Program. Originally from Hamburg, Germany, Kerstin engaged as accordionist with the performing arts and ‘avant clown’ scene when she arrived in Vancouver. She still plays Edith Piaf’s songs for her dog Linus
