Dungeons & Dragons Jr

Ever thought you could only overcome your challenges if you were someone else? Dungeons and Dragons is the perfect opportunity to explore your identity in a safe and inclusive environment with our resident Dungeon Master Lauren. Students will have the experience to choose what strengths they want to bring to the table in a character of their own invention. This is a class for students new to D&D who want to connect with others and explore themselves without the pressure and burden of actually being themselves. Wizards, elfs, healers and even plain old human beings are welcome to join a campaign of good versus evil to see how they would act without the ramifications and responsibilities of the real world. This is an introductory course to D&D so anyone is welcome whether they have played this role-playing game or not.

Your Educator – Lauren Bell

Lauren grew up in Summerland, a tiny town in the Okanagan Valley, before journeying to Vancouver to pursue studies at the University of British Columbia. The size of her town and her love for learning encouraged her to study how to juggle, rolla bolla, spin plates, throw knives, and even stiltwalk. Upon graduating from highschool she turned towards the more academic studies of ancient civilizations and the stories of the past. Now, with a completed Bachelor’s Degree in History and a minor in English, Lauren is tutoring English and Humanities at BrainBoost. Her favourite past times include reading, writing, video-gaming, preparing gourmet meals, and drawing.
