Claudia Ritzker

Born and raised in beautiful British Columbia, Claudia moved to Toronto to finish her honours Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Human Biology at the University of Toronto. She then completed her Master of Science at SickKids, working on improving stem cell transplantation for children with highly aggressive cancers. She moved back home to Vancouver this year, as she missed the rain, and being close to her family and the ocean. Her day job is working as a medical writer, translating complex medical information into comprehensible formats for various audiences. Claudia loves to work with kids and teens to figure out how they learn best and collaborate to ensure learning isn’t limited to schoolwork! It is incredibly important to her that her students feel like they have someone rooting for them and supporting them through these awkward years of life, and is truly grateful that she gets to be in a position to do so. Outside work, Claudia loves to walk her chihuahua Apollo, play and coach soccer, hike in a rainy forest, listen to music, and redecorate her apartment.
