Adrick Brock was born and raised in Toronto, though he’s been a British Columbia convert since moving to Vancouver in 2008. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, and his writing has appeared in literary and cultural magazines across Canada, including a short- and long-list appearance in the CBC Short Story Contest. He’s taught writing and performance at the high school and university level, with a focus on creating safe, supportive learning environments to encourage collaboration and creative risk-taking. During his summers, Adrick works as a whitewater canoe instructor and wilderness guide, leading groups on multi-week expeditions in remote areas of BC, Yukon and the Northwest Territories. When he’s not at work on his fiction, he’s probably outside gardening, playing hockey or running in the mountains.
